Changing Service Renewal Types On Quotes

Renewal types for new services on quotes can be changed.

Important Changing service term on a quote line item involves changing the associated price book entry (as term is a quoting dimension) and re-reading the pricing; changing renewal type does not — renewal type is not a pricing dimension.

Service renewal is copied from PBE (Price Book Entry) → QLI (Quote Line Item) → Service:

  1. The default value is set on the PBE during product configuration.
  2. When am QLI is created, the value is copied from the PBE.
  3. The value can be modified on a quote.
  4. When service is created, the QLI value is copied to newly created service.
