Nextian package contains 80+ pre-configured dashboards and reports. These are intended to be copied and further customized by the end-users.
Reports
Nextian reports are installed in Reports → All folders → Nextian Q2C Reports.
Nextian uses a custom Reporting Period (Reporting_Period__c) object for storing data for monthly reports. It acts as a simple fact table to facilitate basic reporting. The data is updated by the Generate Statistics job configured in the Nextian Settings. This typically happens once a day, so monthly reports are not real-time.
A data warehouse and/or a commercial reporting tool is recommended for advanced reporting on production environments (see this blog post to learn more about possible reporting options).
Dashboards
Nextian dashboards are installed in Dashboards → All folders → Nextian Q2C Dashboards.
Nextian dashboards are categorized into two types:
- Functional Dashboards – Focused on specific business functions such as Sales, Product Management, Accounts, and Services.
- Persona Dashboards – Designed for specific roles, organizing relevant functional charts for personas like CEO/Business Owner, CRO/VP Sales, etc.
| Important | Standard reports and dashboards are overwritten with each package upgrade. To preserve customizations, it is recommended to copy them to personal folders, modify them as needed, and manage access from there. |
