Nextian enables populating service template element structure from existing services.
- Create new or open an existing service template
- Click Update From Service action button
- Select service to import elements from
- Select how items are supposed to be brought over in the drop downs next to each element:
- New — re-create a new element each time a template is used (e.g., a router that has a separate instance per each service)
- Existing — re-use existing selected element (e.g., a gateway shared among multiple services)
- Skip — skip this element and children from import altogether
