Chart colors are a part of picklist definition and are used by Salesforce for coloring values in in dashboards, reports and charts embedded in object layouts.
Unfortunately, Salesforce metadata does not carry information about chart colors (only values) for global picklists — as a result, the default colors are applied after the installation.
To update picklist colors:
- Go to Setup → Picklist Value Sets
- Find the the picklist to change
- and click on the label (do not use Edit)
- Edit each value to set the colors
The following chart colors are recommended:
Work Order Status
This picklist is used for status fields on Nextian orders and work orders.
Pending → #ff0000
In Progress → #f3d904
Completed → #009900
Canceled → #bbbbbb
Task Status
This picklist is used for status fields on Nextian work order tasks:
Pending → #ff0000
Ready → #ffff66
In Progress → #f3d904
Completed → #009900
Canceled → #bbbbbb
Service Renewal Type
This picklist is used for renewal types on Nextian services and price book entries:
Term → #009900
Year-to-Year → #ffcc66
Month-to-Month → #ff6666
Expires → #ff0000
