Only work orders in the Pending and In Progress status can be canceled. Canceling a work order immediately stops its processing:
- Work order status changes from In Progress to Canceled.
- Tasks that are Pending, Ready or In Progress are transitioned to Canceled.
Canceling a work order along with a parent order
Work orders cancel automatically when a parent order is canceled.
Canceling a work order when canceling individual parent order line items
Work orders are canceled automatically when individual order line items are canceled on the parent order.
Canceling a work order from the details view
An individual work order can be also canceled without controlling the process from the associated order/line item:
- Open work order details.
- Click Cancel action in the top right section of the view.
| Important For work orders that have a parent order, cancellations should be controlled by the parent order; there is no need to cancel work orders individually, except for administration and troubleshooting purposes. |
