Starting an order involves starting work orders associated with order line items (ORIs) and changing the order status to In Progress.
Individual ORIs can be started at different times, with the following considerations:
- An order can be started even if not all line items are started.
- An order without any line items cannot be started.
To start an order:
- Open order details.
- Click the Start action.
- Select line items to start:
- Check Create Work Orders option to create work orders & services for the selected line items (If they already exist, a warning will be displayed, but the start action will still succeed).
Important | Once the order has been started, the order Start action is no longer available. However, individual line items can still be managed using actions in the Order Summary. |
