It is possible to create a change quote for an existing service with a single click from the service details view.
- Open the details view for the service to create a quote for.
- Click Create Quote action button.
- Select change type such as Re-Term or Change Service Add-Ons.
- Click Next.
- Select a price book used for the new opportunity and provide optional description.The original price book that was used to create the service (Price Book field on the service) will be pre-selected when available, however user may override the selection (e.g., with a special promotional price book). The description will be copied to the newly created quote line item.
- Provide additional information dependent on change type, and click Create Quote.
- A success message is shown; the new quote can be opened using the Open Quote link.
As a result:
- A quote and a corresponding opportunity are created.
- Both share the same auto-generated name: <Change Type> for <Service Name>.
- The quote is syncing with the opportunity.
- The quote contains one line item corresponding to the selected change type.
