It is possible to clone an individual ‘New’ type line item within a quote (as opposed to cloning an entire quote). This is useful when there is a need to create the same product multiple times, e.g., at different service locations.
Cloning is limited to ‘New’ item type only, as it is impossible to have two disconnects or replacements on the same service within a single quote.
All parts/add-ons underneath the line item are cloned as well.
Creating a single copy
- Open quote details.
- Select Clone on the line item to clone.
- The new line item will be placed as the last item on the quote.
Creating multiple copies
- Open quote details.
- Select Clone Multiple on the line item to clone.
- Enter number of copies and click Clone.
- The new line items are appended at the end of the quote.
| Important | When a line item with marketplace pricing is cloned, marketplace information on the item (Quoting Engine, Quoting Engine Request Id, Vendor and Vendor Quote Id) is cleared and has to be requested separately for the newly cloned item. |
