Working with DocuSign

Nextian CPQ natively supports requesting digital signatures for quotes through DocuSign. Other e-signature providers can be enabled through additional add-ons.

Important A separate contract between the end-user organization and DocuSign is required to use this integration. A valid DocuSign account must also be set up prior to use.

A typical use case is as follows:

  1. A sales representative obtains internal approval and creates a quote PDF.
  2. The approved PDF is submitted to DocuSign for signature. A DocuSign envelope is created and stored in the DocuSign Envelope Id field on the quote.
  3. DocuSign sends an email to the quote recipient with a signature request.
  4. Once the recipient signs the quote, Nextian CPQ will automatically:
    • Update quote status to Accepted,
    • Close-win the associated opportunity and create an order,
    • Attach the signed PDF file to the opportunity.
