Sending Quote PDFs via Email

Nextian CPQ enables users to send quote PDF documents via email. This is useful in situations such as:

  • When a customer requests multiple changes, resulting in several quote iterations before requesting an e-signature.
  • When e-signatures cannot be used, and a customer’s signature or order must be received via email.
  • During internal quote reviews.

To email a quote PDF from Nextian CPQ:

  1. Open the quote details.
  2. Create and save quote PDF as described here.
  3. Click Email Quote action button.
  4. A standard Salesforce email popup will appear with the latest version of the quote PDF attached.
Important

When requesting a quote signature via DocuSign, the system automatically ensures that the attached PDF is current and reflects the latest changes.

However, when sending quotes via email, Salesforce does not validate whether the PDF is up to date. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure the attached PDF reflects the latest version of the quote.
