Nextian CPQ supports rapid creation of complex, multi-line quotes from user-defined quote templates.
These templates are useful for building complex, multi-line quotes for services such as VoIP (which may include components such as trunks, DIDs, hunt-groups, toll free numbers, etc.), and other complex scenarios.
| Important | Nextian CPQ quote templates are collections of pre-built line items, not complete quotes. Therefore, templates are applied to existing quotes and function more like adding line items than creating full quotes from scratch. |
To create a quote from template:
- Create a blank quote or select an existing one.
- Open quote details.
- Go to Quote Summary.
- Click Add From Template.
- Select template to use (the template must be active and valid).
- Check Delete current quote items if you want to remove all existing items before adding the template. If unchecked, new items will be appended to the existing quote.
- Confirm with Add From Template.
Once created, the quote might not be valid — some items may be incomplete or missing and must be reviewed and finalized by the quote creator.
