An order contains a list of Order Line Items (ORIs) that are bound with with their individual work orders and services.
The following applies to ORIs:
- Order Line Items are named using the ORI-XXXXXXX format.
- When an order is created from a quote, each ORI is associated with its corresponding quote line item (QLI).
- For ‘widget’ products (i.e., products that are not subscription services), the service field is not populated.
- ORIs do not have their own status; they function solely as linkages (order status is derived from the statuses of the associated work orders).
- Similar to QLIs, ORIs have types (e.g., New, Cancel, Replace, etc.).
The relationship between order, order line items, services and work orders can be visualized as follows:
For ‘widget’ products, the service component of the ORIs in the diagram above is left blank.
