Nextian CPQ enables tracking of resellers — such as TSBs (Telecom Service Brokers), agents, resellers and other sales partners — on opportunities for commissions are reporting purposes. Resellers are tracked on the Reseller field on the opportunity (there is no Reseller field on a quote).
When a reseller is associated with a Nextian CPQ opportunity, that information is automatically propagated downstream to both orders and services during the quote-to-order conversion process, as follows:
- Reseller information is copied from the parent opportunity to the order during order creation and appears in the Reseller field on the order.
- Reseller information is then copied from the order to all newly created services, specifically in the Reseller field on each service. This applies only to New and new components of Replace order line items.
The propagation sequence is as follows:
Opportunity / Quote → Order → New Service(s)
