Quote line items are automatically numbered in the order they’re added:
- Each new item is added to the end of the list.
- Line items are numbered in sequence (1, 2, 3, etc.).
- If a line item has parts, they’re numbered as sub-items (e.g., 1.1, 1.2, 1.3).
- When an item is removed, the list automatically renumbers to keep everything in order.
Sometimes, it is beneficial to arrange items on a quote in a specific order — for example, to match the location sequence in a customer’s pricing request for a multi-location Internet quote.
Move Up, Move Down, Move to Top and Move to Bottom actions can be used to rearrange the items:
