Creating New Quote Templates

To create a new quote template:

1. Go to App Launcher → Quote Item Templates.
2. Click New.
3. Enter a Name and optional fields such as Description.
4. Click Save to save the template. The template will be invalid at this stage, as no XML has been added yet.
5. Create or locate the source quote to be used for the template:
   1. The quote must contain only New line items (including add-ons).
   2. Make note of the quote number.
6. Go back to the template and click the Update From Quote action.
7. Search for the quote by name or number, then click Create.
8. The template will be saved and automatically validated.
9. Even if the template is valid, it must be activated before it can be used.
