The Elements view in Nextian RMM displays the inventory of Salesforce elements — such as routers, interfaces, and applications — synchronized by the current RMM instance.
The RMM automatically keeps this list in sync with Salesforce using the RMM Element Id field, which also identifies the source monitoring system for each element.
Each managed element includes availability and performance metric data retrieved from the network monitoring system (NMS), which is continuously updated in Salesforce.
Accessing the Elements View
To open the Elements view:
- Log into the RMM Web Interface.
- Click the Elements tab.
- A list of all elements managed by this RMM instance will be displayed.
Element Information
The following data is available for each element:
| Field | Description |
| Element Id | Salesforce Id of the element (Salesforce object id). |
| Element Name | Salesforce Name of the element. |
| Address | An address string used to match the RMM element with the corresponding target element in the NMS. The value depends on the monitoring system providing the element data. This field corresponds to the RMM Element/Node Id field in Salesforce. |
| Status | The most recent operational status of the element, retrieved from the source NMS. |
| Last Status Change | The time of the most recent status change for the element, as reported by the source NMS.
For example, if an element went down at 11:05, the NMS detected the change and updated the element status at 11:06, and the RMM then updated the element in Salesforce at 11:07 — the Last Status Change will be recorded as 11:06 to reflect the timestamp from the NMS. |
| Synchronization Status | Indicates whether the value of the service Status calculated by the RMM matches the status in Salesforce (Operational Status field in Salesforce).
If the statuses differ, the synchronization status is marked as Not Synchronized. If they match, it is marked as Synchronized. When an element is marked as Not Synchronized, the status will change to Synchronized after the next successful synchronization with Salesforce. |
