The Services view in Nextian RMM displays the inventory of Salesforce services — such as Internet access, virtual servers, colocation, and SaaS applications — kept up to date in Salesforce by the current RMM instance.
The RMM automatically determines the list of services based on monitored elements. All services associated with those elements are synchronized. A single element may be used across multiple services.
Accessing the Services View
To open the Services view:
- Log into the RMM Web Interface.
- Click the Services tab.
- A list of all services managed by this RMM instance will be displayed.
Service Information
The following data is available for each service:
Field | Description |
Service Id | Salesforce Id of the service (Salesforce object id). |
Service Name | Salesforce Name of the service. |
Status | The current operational state of the service, determined by the statuses of its elements and the configured Operational Status Rules (e.g., Up, Down, Has Issues, etc.). |
Last Status Change | The date and time when the operational status of the service was last updated.
This corresponds to the timestamp of the element status change that triggered the service status change. If a service status change is triggered by multiple elements (e.g. a router and a firewall go down for an Internet access service), the earliest element status change time is used as the Last Status Change. |
Synchronization Status | Indicates whether the value of the service Status calculated by the RMM matches the status in Salesforce (Operational Status field in Salesforce).
If the statuses differ, the synchronization status is marked as Not Synchronized. If they match, it is marked as Synchronized. When a service is marked as Not Synchronized, the status will change to Synchronized after the next successful synchronization with Salesforce. |
