Anniversary Billing
- Publication Date
- Last Modification Date April 7, 2026
Anniversary Billing is a billing method in which a service is billed and invoices are generated on the recurring anniversary of the Billing Start Date (as opposed to Calendar Billing, which always bills on a fixed calendar date, such as the 1st of the month).
For example, if a service is billed monthly and the Billing Start Date is April 10, subsequent invoices will be generated on May 10, June 10, and so on.
Advantages
- Eliminates proration in standard billing cycles
- Distributes billing events evenly throughout the month (useful for high-volume services such as residential internet)
- Improves operational efficiency and cash flow predictability
